Allah’s wisdom in allowing certain struggles and conflicts in the world rather than directly intervening

Surah Muhammad (47:4) explains Allah’s wisdom in allowing struggles and challenges instead of directly intervening:

“If Allah had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of Allah – never will He waste their deeds.”

It provides insight into the divine purpose behind human experiences, particularly the challenges faced by believers. 

This verse teaches that life’s trials serve as a test for believers to distinguish true believers from hypocrites, assessing their sincerity, patience, and dedication to the cause of truth and justice.

It encourages believers to strive in the path of Allah, proving their dedication through actions rather than relying on divine miracles. Challenges help develop qualities like patience, perseverance, and trust in Allah, leading to spiritual growth and purification.

The verse reassures believers that those who are martyred or face hardships in the cause of Allah will not have their efforts wasted. Their sacrifices will be rewarded, emphasizing the eternal significance of their struggles.

Similarly, Surah Al-Baqarah (2:154) reassures believers about those who sacrifice their lives for Allah’s cause: “And do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah, ‘They are dead.’ Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not.”

While Surah Muhammad emphasizes that Allah values and rewards their sacrifices, Surah Al-Baqarah highlights that martyrs are granted eternal life in Allah’s presence, beyond human understanding. 

Both verses honor the status of those who give their lives for righteousness, offering hope and motivation for believers to remain steadfast.

Together, these verses emphasize that struggles and sacrifices in the way of Allah have a profound purpose, bringing spiritual reward and eternal significance. It reinforces the idea that believers are responsible for striving in the way of Allah, showcasing their faith through actions rather than expecting miracles or divine intervention at every moment.
